exemplos q inspiram!o mais dificil será mesmo iniciar, informar as pessoas, transmitir confiança na mudança, reunir...a partir do momento q s deu o 1º passo é sempre a andar nao é?

Aqui em Inglaterra cada cidade ou vila esta a implementar o conceito. Por exemplo, eu estou envolvida na "Newton Abbot Transition"; e aqui bem perto temos o "Totnes Town Transition", onde tudo comecou e acho que vale a pena dar uma olhadela no webiste http://totnes.transitionnetwork.org/

Gostei especialmente deste 2ºvideo (é composto por 6 partes).

Mais uma evidência, entre tantas outras, de que uma Transição é inevitável.

The global climate wake-up call is here! The press is reporting that global climate talks are in a shambles and the UN summit on Tuesday is our best hope to revive them. That means our perfectly timed 2300 events in 130 countries on Monday could be pivotal in waking up our sleeping leaders before they meet.

The easiest thing to do is save these numbers into your phone or print them out and take them with you. If someone answers, introduce yourself, ask to speak to an official who can convey a message to the leader you're trying to reach, and say:

I'd like to leave a message for (insert leader's name) urging him/her to personally go to the Copenhagen climate summit and sign on to a fair, ambitious, and binding climate treaty.

If you connect to someone who is willing to talk, you might explain to them that you are calling as part of the Global Wake-Up Call, with 2300 events in 130 countries, and then explain why you personally are committed to addressing climate change. The two things that governments respond to are the number of calls and the clarity of your message, so keep it brief and be polite! If you can't get through, just keep trying through the day! Jamming the phone lines can send shock-waves through governments who are generally extremely sensitive to this sort of demonstration of public popular will.

In recent weeks, we've stunned leaders with sudden barrages of thousands of calls. 14,000 calls reversed the Brazilian President's position on a new climate protection law, 3,000 calls persuaded the German Chancellor's party to engage with climate groups, just a few hundred calls got the attention of top advisors to French President Sarkozy.

We have just 78 days left until the final UN meeting in Copenhagen, where we'll succeed or fail to get an historic global treaty to stop a climate catastrophe. Our leaders are nowhere near success, they're not even planning on going to Copenhagen. Let's send them a wake up call they won't forget.

Olá de novo Catarina,

Melo ou Gouveia têm mercado de agricultores? Imaginemos que sim, e que precisarias de ajuda nesse ponto. Neste momento, usando este espaço, apenas podes usar esta rede para contactar pessoas próximas de ti que te possam ajudar.

Futuramente, e partindo do pressuposto que já existirá uma Associação de Permacultura, eventualmente ela terá uma lista de pessoas sem terra disponíveis para ajudar e Prjectos de Permacultura. Depende de quais forem as decisões das pessoas que a vão gerir. Também poderá comunicar por exemplo com o município de Gouveia, para incentivar projectos de aproveitamento de excedentes.

Já no caso duma hipotética Iniciativa de Transição em Gouveia, teoriacamente terias um grupo de pessoas em sintonia contigo que te ajudaria por exemplo, a promover a produção e comercialização de produtos locais. Estou a especular...

A minha sugestão é: põe as coisas a mexer em Melo e arredores. Nós estamos a fazer o mesmo em Pombal.

a minha segunda sugestão é começarmos JÁ a fazer coias concretas que ajudem quem ja iniciou a transição, pois quanto mais o fizermos mais apoio haverá para quem ainda está a pensar nisso.

por explo - se eu cultivar coisas como posso vender o excedente?
se a minha exploração não tiver tamanho para uma certificação e não estiver virada para a produção como posso vender/trocar?
quem me ajuda organizar isso?
onde está uma lista de gente sem terra, com vontade de participar?
etc etc.
é mais importante por as coisas a mexer do que oficializa-las.
era isso mais ou menos :)

Olá Catarina,

A Associação de Permacultura é outra coisa. Tem o seu próprio processo, que como deverás saber, terá uma nova reunião em Outubro.

O Movimento Transição apesar de estar muito relacionado com o conceito de Permacultura, é uma forma/processo/método das comunidades se organizarem e se prepararem para o duplo desafio do Pico do Petróleo e das Alterações Climáticas.

Da parte que me toca, estamos a colocar no terreno todos os dias, O Projecto Coisas do Vizinho ao serviço dos Pombalenses. Da mesma forma, vamos tentar criar uma iniciativa de Transição em Pombal, e com isso, idealmente, ajudar outras aldeias, vilas, cidades ou regiões de Portugal a fazer o mesmo.

Não percebo muito bem a tua segunda questão...
